Design and Coding are the ones that changed over the years and saved us a lot of money and time. Let me explain what each one does.
Design
In simple words Design, as you can easily understand, is the process of designing the Website. It’s the colors, the pictures and the structure of the site. The Design’s main target is to help the visitor navigate easily, find the content without any problems and make him Subscribe via Facebook, Twitter or e-mail so you, the owner, can make him a returning visitor.
Of course, the useful and unique content is the one that determines if the visitor will subscribe or not… But placing the subscribe buttons in smart positions plays a huge role too. A great design will also increase your ad revenue. For example, no one will click on an ad that is placed at the bottom right corner of the screen.
Hiring a designer to design your website costs from $300 to $2000 depending on the designer and its skills. Nowadays, we are lucky enough to not spend a single dime on the design because I will show you the way to set up your site with professional ready themes with just a couple of clicks.
Coding
The term “coding” confuses a lot of people but it’s really not that hard to comprehend it. We can say that coding is the process of taking all the pictures that we talked about in the Design process (see above) and convert them to a code that the computer understands.
Why should we do that? Well, when we visit a website we can recognize each part of the site. We know that this is a photo/video and that is a plain text, but the computer doesn’t. So, we can say that we “help” the computer to recognize which is what.
This is what coding does in simple words! You really don’t have to worry or even know more about it. Designers usually offer a coding service along with their designing service for an extra fee of around $150 to $300.
